In the early 1980’s, Kahu George Naipo began his spiritual training under the guidance of Prophet Abigail Machado, or more affectionately known as Grandma Machado. In 1986, Kahu George Naipo was ordained an Evangelist of Ka Mauna O Oliveta Church by Kahu Tom Ling and he continued under the spiritual leadership of Grandma Machado. In 1988, Kahu George Naipo was ordained the Hope Kahu of Ka Mauna O Oliveta, using Grandma Machado’s bible instead of the pulpit bible for the ordination as the source of spiritual knowledge. This signified the transfer of Grandma Machado’s knowledge to Kahu George Naipo, which eventually led to the establishment of Ekalesia, The Foundation of Jesus Christ under the direction of Head Kahu George Naipo since 1991. In 2018, Kahu George was called to heaven and his son, Kahu Daniel Naipo, took his father’s place as the Head Kahu of our church. We are currently working on the final permitting needed to allow us to finally open the doors to our new home church in Kahalu’u - a vision and dream inspired by our Papa and Mama Kahu Naipo and a legacy of love and devotion to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We are a Hawaiian Protestant church who loves Jesus!
